Insurance Pricing

Insurance is usually paid through the carrier when a product is placed, not through a separate Koala invoice. This page explains the carriers we work with and how compensation works.

Carriers we currently work with.

The right carrier depends on product type, underwriting, pricing, guarantees, and fit for the client. These are core insurance carriers Koala works with. This is not a complete list of carriers or products, and not every carrier or product is available or appropriate for every client.

Insurance only belongs in the plan when it actually fits.

Insurance Entity

Insurance products are offered through Koala Insurance Solutions, LLC, a separate insurance entity from Koala Financial advisory services and Koala Law legal services.

Product Fit

We are not of the belief that everyone needs insurance. We look at each client or family's situation and only discuss insurance when there appears to be a real fit.

Compensation

Insurance carriers may pay commissions or other compensation when products are placed. Clients are not required to buy insurance through Koala.

Simple compensation, disclosed before placement.

Insurance compensation depends on the product and carrier. We keep the conversation straightforward before an application is submitted.

Koala Fee

No separate insurance invoice for standard reviews

For standard insurance reviews, Koala generally does not bill a separate insurance fee. If a separate consulting fee ever applies, it would be agreed to before work begins.

Carrier Compensation

Carriers may pay us if a product is placed

If a policy or annuity is placed, the insurance carrier may pay Koala Insurance Solutions a commission or other compensation. That compensation varies by carrier and product.

Product Costs

Product charges vary

Product charges, surrender schedules, guarantees, riders, and contract terms depend on the product. Those details are reviewed before anything is placed.
